Ed VanderBarren embodied the entrepreneurial spirit that started it all; from the back of a red pickup truck, he started his House Painting business. In May of 1975 Ed received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University. Planning on being a teacher Ed applied to teachers college, but for the summer continued to paint houses. He eventually hired a crew that consisted of his brother and a few friends, and from there the business grew.

This will be the 20th year in this location and the store has continued to evolve and remain current offering the latest in trends and new innovations.
