United Way Leeds & Grenville. As we near the end of 2024, we're at 69% of our fundraising goal for the year. But we need YOUR help to reach 100%! Every dollar donated directly supports over 20 critical programs in our community that provide meals, free income tax services, youth programs, mental health support, addictions services, and more.
United Way Leeds & Grenville is 100% community-funded - without government support - and we rely on YOU to help us continue this essential work. If just 20,000 people in our region gave $15, we'd reach our 2025 goal!
Please consider donating by December 31st to ensure these programs continue into the new year. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Together, let's make a positive impact in 2025! 💙 #UWLG #GiveBack #CommunitySupport #EndOfYearGiving
Happy Winter Solstice!! The winter solstice marks the official beginning of astronomical winter and is the shortest day of the year (day with the fewest hours of sunlight). Astronomical seasons are based on the position of Earth in relation to the Sun. Celebrate the Solstice by enjoying a meal with friends at one of Brockville's restaurants (or with a delicious take out dinner) and then head to the Aquatarium to shop the final Brockville Farmers' Market from 5 - 8 pm!

The winter solstice (shortest day and longest night of the year) occurs this Saturday - December 21. The winter solstice celebrates the longest hours of darkness or the rebirth of the sun and is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal and self-reflection. In Pagan times the winter solstice was referred to as Yule and was a celebration of the Goddess (Moon) energy.
